Sure. See the Squid FAQ on how to configure acceleration.

For combined proxy and accelerator you need to use
httpd_accel_with_proxy on. Also be careful with your http_access rules
to make sure you do not make the proxy wide open to the whole world.

If you need authentication in the reverse proxy then search for
AUTH_ON_ACCELERATION in the souce...
