Though one would wonder if M$'s "embrace and extend" M-POST method is
supported through Squid as an acceptable method name to proxy? Not that
this is anything different that a POST in sheep's clothing...

Squid only knows that there is something tunnelled, not what it is.
Squid does not even know if it is SSL or some other binary data, only
that there is a tunnel between the client and the origin server.

So, no it does not care.
