[squid-users] squid as transparent cache and accelerator

Hi all
 i m running squid as a transparent proxy , using httpd_accelerator_host
virtual
I am now planning to use fezhead director and try setup a simple CDN solution
as follows
fezhead director acts as a authoritative DNS server for the domains that i want
to accelerate .. and it replies with the IP of the squid cache server as the A
record .
now when the HTTP request comes to squid , it will again do a DNS lookup on the
domain name in the host header ?? in which case again the fezhead director will
take over and reply to squid with its own IP .. and a loop will be formed isnt
it??

can i run squid as a transparent cahce as well as an accelerartor coz o
ibelieve that in the accelaerator mode squid uses /etc/hosts file for name
lookup , in which case i can specify my bacend servers in the hosts file
Any help will be appreciated
