Indeed,
    I think you need to give us a few more specifications about what sort of
setup you have.
    Squid and this mailing list have nothing to do with NATing or running as
a gateway.

    You would need to be somehow allowing port 110 or 143 out of your
network,
    if you are not doing any address translation, it should just work.

    If you need help on this feel free too mail me, but I don't think it has
anything to do with squid.
