Hello Irwin,
Check whether the following link is
http://ads.lycosasia.com.sg/RealMedia/ads/adstream_jx.ads/www.singnet.com.sg
/home/130046235@Right3 .sg/home/130046235@Right3 is loaded without proxy . I
think links may be broken .

Subject: [squid-users] zero-sized reply

Hi,

I'm have a cache server running squid-2.4STABLE2.

My users is complaining of not able to completely load
http://www.singnet.com.sg

It'll returns "zero-sized reply" as the ads timed out.

Did a check and found that SingNet is running on asp while it's ads is
handled by external ads server as shown in the access.log below.

TCP_MISS/200 784 GET
http://ads.lycosasia.com.sg/RealMedia/ads/adstream_jx.ads/www.singnet.com.sg
/home/130046235@Right3 - DIRECT/202.160.249.20 application/x-javascript
TCP_CLIENT_REFRESH_MISS/304 267 GET
http://ads.lycosasia.com.sg/RealMedia/ads/Creatives/SG-Cobrand/SingnetP2.js
- DIRECT/202.160.249.20 -
TCP_CLIENT_REFRESH_MISS/200 4975 GET
http://ads1.lycosasia.com.sg/RealMedia/ads/Creatives/SG-Singnet-DominonES/do
minionES.gif - DIRECT/202.160.249.21 image/gif

Did a search in the forum, FAQs and found some replies pointing to
request-headers, long cookie strings etc.

can someone help me from here so as to pinpoint to the exact problem and
find a workaround to fix this? tks.

Rgds,

Irwin
