Hi!

I want to avoid transmission of base64-encoded proxy username/password
pair through the LAN. Is the digest scheme is that i need in?

  Are there anything specific features in tuning of the digest-password
  scheme different from basic-NCSA?

  Which browsers on Windows platform supports digest-password
  autentication scheme?
