Hi!
I have configured squid-2.4STABLE2 on Redhat7.1. I want to authenticate users
on the basis of username/password.I want to use NIS to authenticate users
so the authentication module used is YP.Whenever I
enter a valid username/password, squid doesn't authenticate
me and in the logfile I get a TCP_DENIED message. Any pointers!!

acl entries are:

acl testlan src 172.18.0.17/255.255.255.255
acl foo proxy_auth REQUIRED testlan
http_access allow foo

thnx in advance
aditya
