Assuming you want to redirect 80(HTTP request) to port underwhich squid
runs.
You can use any firewall configurations like IPChains(for kernel<2.4),
IPTables(kernel>2.4) to redirect request from port to another port in the
same machine .

i.e flow would like this,
Client ---> Server(Port of Proxy) ---> Server (Port 80 or HTTP)
