Squid misses the file ../squid/logs/squid.pid which contains the PID of the
squid process.

Betreff: [squid-users] the best amount for cache_mem

Hi ,
  Please Help me .
  We have a 256K leased line , & I have installed squid 2.4 stable3.2 days
ago,It is installed in freebsd4.4 with 256MEG RAM & 36Gig hard. I puted
cache_mem equal with 50 .
But it is so slow (more than we haven't cache) & also sometimes incoming
is more than outgoing & also it's monitoring with MRTG shows me that it uses
even more than 256k of bandwidth that surprised me that how it is
possible??????
please help me, what should i do, for best performance how should i config
squid, what is best parameters for cache_mem or other parameters.

--thanks in advanced-
