I don't remember exact figures, but only 128Mb with a cache of 4Gb is not
enough. The more cache you have on disk, the more memory is required.

Check the Squid FAQ re. memory, you may find some rule of thumb figures to
help you calculate how much cache space you can have on disk for the memory
available. It is better to have less cache on disk, and a fast performing
cache...
