AFAIK you'll have to rebuild with --enable-underline (can't remember how it
was called)
With
        ./configure --help
you'll get a complete listing.

Betreff: [squid-users] Two questions

hello,

i'm using a FreeBSD 4.4, and Squid 2.5STABLE4.

first question:
this is a part of squid.conf:

.
.
acl aclname src "/etc/squid/list/HOSTS"
.
.

and this is a line from /etc/squid/list/HOSTS:

eik3_58071.intra.mydomain.com

when squid starts, give me an error message:

2002/03/20 12:10:10| aclParseIpData: Bad host/IP:
'eik3_58071.intra.mydomain.com'

i know, there is an old rfc, what does not allow "_"
character in hostname, but i think, new style of this rfc
allow.

what can i do?

second question:
part of my squid.conf:

cachemgr_passwd mypass all !shutdown

when i use the cachmgr, everything works fine, but i _can_
shutdown squid via cachemgr.

why? what is the correct setup?

thanks for answers:
a.
