Yes, we know, and this is why Squid configure automatically disables
optimization when detecting GCC 2.95.[123], so unless you have
explicitly forced optimization you should not be bitten by this.

IIRC 2.95.3 was not detected by 2.4.STABLE1, but noone should be
compiling anything older than 2.4.STABLE6 these days.
