Re: [squid-users] URGENT Help Needed

My resolv.conf file has
search <company>.com
nameserver 1.2.3.4
nameserver 5.6.7.8

(the real nameserver ip's in the file are the correct ones for my company).

Yes, the <servername> is fully qualified. I have other intranet sites in
the company that I can reach without a problem (some are on the same lan as
this server). Also, I added this server to my /etc/hosts file to try and
get a quick fix, and squid did not look there for it. :(

Anyway, the basic problem is that when the users try to get to this
specific webserver, squid is not resolving the name into the ip address.

Thanks for any additional help.

It seems that you don't have the 'resolv.conf' properly
configured
on your squid box... Is <servername> a fully qualified domain?

Please provide more information on error description...
