        Sorry, I am unfamiliar with a new book being released. However, if you
are looking for some great basic information on Squid, check out the
O'Reilly web-site. Use their search feature to hunt for information on
Squid.

        There are two pieces on that site that helped me in configuring the
service greatly. Each piece will print out approximately 2 to 3 pages.

        Personally, I recommend O'Reilly books, as they are technically rather
sound and assume almost nothing about skill levels. They cover the
basics, typically revealing detailed commands and instructions and dive
deep into the more complex areas of the piece that they are covering.

        Usually within the first three or four chapters, you should have enough
information to get some basic work completed and configured. I hope that
has been helpful.
