RE: [squid-users] Problems with Transparent Proxy and Webmail and sending data

Hi,

I have finally solved my problem,

However the cause does not explain itself. There was no configuration
problem on my side. My service providers also run a squid transparent
proxy, and their other users were not having a problem either. They used
WCCP / squid and as soon as they changed back to the conventional method
of forwarding, everything started to work fine.????

Thanks for those that helped.

Regards

David Norton

Hi, Thanks for your help thus far,

The errors have gone from cache.log, however, I still cannot send email
via hotmail and yahoo.

Im using
Squid Cache: Version 2.4.STABLE4
Linux hansa 2.2.5-15 #2 Wed Feb 2 03:46:32 SAST 2000 i686 unknown

I have also tried squid version 2.2.STABLE5.

I cannot find an error message, but on the browser I get
"Connection Reset by Peer: Read Error"

Am I missing something or overlooked something.

Please help

Regards

David Norton
