[squid-users] Redirection problem.

Hi,

I'm trying to get certain sites to redirect through a second squid proxy, this is
to bypass a firewall config - nothing illegal, valid dialup users accessing a
firewalled site by proxying throught a static IP which is allowed access.

The first proxy I have the following config ( this proxy should redirect to
the other proxy)

cache_peer ipofotherproxy parent 8080 3130 no-query
cache_peer_domain ipofotherproxy .assurelink.ie
cache_peer_domain ipofotherproxy .assurelink.com

The first - login page gets redirected fine :

1024569422.323 6471 10.0.0.22 TCP_MISS/200 14851 GET
http://www.assurelink.ie/intro.html - FIRST_UP_PARENT/193.95.188.30 text/html

However when it goes to authenticate over ssl it seems to break with this in
the log -

1024569573.156 120117 10.0.0.22 TCP_MISS/000 0 CONNECT www.assurelink.com:443
- NONE/- -

I think whats happening is that it's trying to talk http to a https server,
any ideas on how to fix this?

TIA,

Regards,
Noel.
