[squid-users] squid benchmarking and TCP MSL

On the web page http://www.squid-cache.org/Benchmarking/Surrogate07/
there is this following statement :

"The system runs FreeBSD (4.1?). To get past ~350 req/sec, I lowered the
TCP MSL to 15 seconds.".

What is TCP MSL? And how do I set it to "15 seconds" on a FreeBSD 4.4
system??
