Hi Guys, I have a problem with my squid, I've setup a Red Hat 7.3 server
with squid-2.4-stable7. My problem is I can't installed web correct 5.0 in
our Windows 98 workstation using the squid proxy. Here's the address
https://www.speechmachines.org/webcorrect for installation.
The error was "Web Correct Failed to Connect". When a view the
/var/log/squid/cache.log and access log, this the error :
parseHttpRequest : Requestheader contains NULL characters
clientReadRequest : FD 20 Invalid Request
Https (443) port was already opened, we can browse through some secure
sites, we have only error in web correct sites. Squid proxy was working well
in other sites also.
What seems be the problem? What does Null Character role in squid?
We tried to use different Linux Box (Red Hat, Mandrake E-smith) using squid
stable but we got the same error. Temporarily we are now using Windows NT
box serve as proxy and its working well, but we want to back our proxy
server in Linux box cause linux is cheaper than NT in terms of cost.
Please help us in our problem.
Thank you very much....

Mike
