Hi,
I'm new to squid, but I have been running a normal cache server for
several weeks where I had to manually set the client machines to use the
cache server. We're looking to set the Cisco router to WCCP to the
cache server to make management easier. I have been reading the FAQs at
squid-cache.org about how to, but I still have a few questions. The
wccp_router tag: Do I set this to the Cisco route it is expecting
traffic from? Are there any other options I have to enable in
squid.conf? I am running on Debian stable on a 2.4.19 kernel. The
purpose of the cache is to host everything outside of our network, so
would it be beneficial to enable kernel httpd_acceleration? If anyone
could point me to a working squid.conf or give me some tips, I would
appreciate it.
