debug_options ALL,9

should give a considerable amount of debug info.. if not use the -X
command line option.

But in this case the best method is most likely to start Squid under the
control of a debugger to see where it fails..

gdb /path/to/squid
run -DNYCd3
[wait for it to crash]
backtrace
