[squid-users] Fwd: Problem building binaries

We have the following problem in building the binaries:

The first step (./configure --prefix=/usr/local/squid) works very fine.
The second step (make all) works very fine as well.
The third step (make install) brings the following messages:

# make install
Making install in lib...
Making install in scripts...
/usr/local/bin/install -c RunCache /usr/local/squid/bin
cp: /usr/local/squid/bin: is a directory
install: cp /usr/local/squid/bin RunCache/bin failed
*** Error code 2
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install'
Current working directory /tmp/squid-2.4.STABLE7/scripts
*** Error code 1
make: Fatal error: Command failed for target `install'

We tried several packages (squid-2.4..., squid-2.5..., ...). All these
packages bring the same error. What is going wrong with us??
