I'm wondering if somebody has already work on adding Tidy functionalities
in Squid

Tidy is a W3C XHTML validator Translator

Including it in Squid it would be possible to use any web content as a web
services client side (using XSLT/XPath classical transformation) !

For example :

                                                -------------
                                                - page calls-
                                                - google.com-
----------- ------------ ------------- -by XML.load-
- user - - HTML page- - SQUID - -------------
- NE/IE - - or XSLT - - with HTML>-
- - - result - - >XHTML - -------------
----------- ------------ ------------- - -
                                                - google.com-
                                                - -
                                                -------------

The change of Squid would just be "if MimeType=Html then Tidy(string)..."

Does it sound good to somebody else than me ?

Thanks for your comments,

Regards
