New to Squid and Linux in general and have a non-caching site question.
have Squid 2.4 running on Red Hat 7.2 with WebMin boxes. Have set up
in
Access Control a "DIRECT" Web Server Host Name ACL and have added the
sites that I do not want cached to this list. In Cache Options I have
DIRECT selected as a "Don't cache URLs for ACLs" set.
However when I go to Cache Manager Statistics->IP Cache Stats and
Contents, I see the sites I have listed in the DIRECT ACL listed
mutiple
times. Does this mean that these are still be cached by Squid or that
Squid is simply passing info from those sites through? We have several
web based database vendors that we are having issues with that say it
is
looking like from the erors that we are seeing our cache server is
caching them.
TIA!
