I have a question about " httpd_accel_port " directive when config squid 2.4
as transparent proxy.

Even if I don't write httpd_accel_port directive in squid.conf , I can also
access www web site from client.
But in the document :
                        http://squid.visolve.com/white_papers/trans_caching.htm
it says that following four directive should be configed:
=====
httpd_accel_host virtual

httpd_accel_port 80

httpd_accel_with_proxy on

httpd_accel_uses_host_header on
======

Are there someone can tell me what is the purpose of httpd_accel_port
directive in transparent mode proxy setting? Thanks!
