re: [squid-users] running out of filedescriptors

This has always worked perfectly well for me for increasing the number of
available file descriptors...

One caveat, though, ulimit isn't in tcsh. I use bash when I compile squid,
tcsh all the rest of the time... (One of my peers snivels at me as a darn
tcsh user... :-) )
