I do not know much about these settings for Solaris I am afraid.

What I do know is the information to be found in the FAQ:

Squid requirements:

  Message size at least 32 bytes (40 bytes for 64-bit CPUs).

  Two queues per cache_dir.

  Queue size of at least max(Q1,Q2) messages per queue, both in number
(segments) and size (bytes, N * msgsize).

  At least max(Q1,Q2) * number of cache_dir messages in total.

And make sure you have some margins on these..
