Hi there
I have installed squid 2.4-7 on Redhat Linux 8.0. The server is IBM
Netfinity with 1 GB RAM.
I have configured squid to use 100 MB Memory (cache_mem). The moment i give
more than 100 MB memory in cache_mem, it gives following error.
Fatal Error : cache_swap is lower than cache_mem.

How do i configure squid to use more memory as i have lots of memory free. I
have changed the cache_dir to use 4000 MB.

Secondly i want to know how much memory should i allocate for squid as i
have 1 GB memory & the server is used as proxy server only.

What are the guidelines for allocating memory.

Waiting for reply
Vishal
