RE: [squid-users] Squid V2.5 and RedHat

If the client is using IE 6.x and this occurs only after the initial
authentication then don't worry about it. That is a known IE bug. To
really test the server, use Mozilla or Netscape.

I'm testing it with Red Hat 8.2 currently. I'm happy with it so far.
Having some interesting issues with authenticating though.
For some of my clients, they have to load a page more than once in order
to be allowed through. Not sure where to start digging for that one.
Also not sure if that has anything to do with redhat 8.2 or squid 2.5.
Perhaps this my way of answering and asking a question in the same step?

Subject: [squid-users] Squid V2.5 and RedHat LInux V8.0

Hi there,

Just curious to know if Squid V2.5 has been tested thoroughly under
Redhat
Linux V8.0 and whether any other sites are using this combination?

We have six (6) new caching servers we're about to install and were
wondering if we should go with Linux V7.3 or V8.0 with Squid V2.5.

TIA!
