Which squid version are you using ?
 On which os/platform/version ?

The version of squid I am using is Version 2.4.STABLE6 on Linux 7.3

How is the websweeper 'addressed' in squid.conf ?
Are any other setups being used ?

In squid.conf i have the following line:
cache_peer wsw2.bottomline.co.uk parent 80 0 proxy-only.
(I am trying to get the LDAP authentication working also, but I am
going to do one thing at a time.)

What's in squid access.log when websweeper decides
to push this progress message ?

I can't see any entries in the log.

Any additional info in squid's cache.log for this
 request ?

ps : newbie is ok. Post relevant subject lines however.
Benefitial for the archives, and for squid users, who
may be knowledgable in your problem area.

 M.
