[squid-users] Squid and MRTG -- Can't create MRTG config file, something wrong with Squid?

Hello everyone!

I'm running Squid 2.5STABLE1, compiled with --enable-snmp, amongst other
options. However, I've also downloaded and compiled MRTG, which I think
I've done that correctly.

Anyways, I can't seem to connect to Squid when I'm trying to use the
MRTG cfgmaker utility.

This is what I'm getting:

[root@localhost bin]# ./cfgmaker --global 'WorkDir:
/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/mrtg' --global 'Options[_]: growright,bits'
public@wpad.marketingassociates.com >
/usr/local/apache2/htdocs/mrtg/cfg/mrtg.cfg

Yet, I can ping it, it works fine as my proxy, etc etc. Anyways, here's
a snippet of my cache.log:

Looks to me like everything is running fine as far as SNMP goes.

So finally, here's a small portion of my squid.conf:

acl snmppublic snmp_community public
snmp_access allow snmppublic all

I realize that the above isn't secure at all, however at the moment I'm
not worrying about security. I just want to get everything working
first.

I don't see anything sticking out like a sore thumb, but then again I
have been trying for the past few hours to get it to cooperate.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott
