Squid only sends one request at a time per outgoing TCP connection.

Maybe you are looking at the pipeline prefetch function where Squid may
process up to two requests at the same time from the same client
connection. In this case the response to the second request is delayed
by Squid until it has delivered the response from the first request to
the client.
