Re: [squid-users] Fw: Possible bug in 2.5STABLE2 with HTTPS and LDAP Auth

Okay... more info here. As suggested, I tried it with Mozilla, Konquerer,
and Netscape on a Linux box. It works great. Now my problem is 1,000 PCs
with IE6 installed and this issue. I could backrev my squid install to 2.4
STABLE6, but that is not preferrable. M$ could issue a patch for their
browser, but that is not going that happen either. I could remove squid
and install a M$ based proxy server, but I would rather give myself paper
cuts all over my body and jump into a bathtub of saltwater.

I guess what I am curious about is what changed between 2.4S6 and 2.5S2 to
change this behavior. I would venture a guess that 2.5S2 is less lax with
standards violations that 2.4S6 was? Anyway, thanks for the help.

Test with another browser regardless - as a control point.

If netscape / mozilla / konquerer / opera work, then it's an IE problem.
