It is enabled by default, but unfortunately only Netscape 4.X knows
how to do this via a HTTP proxy. IE never have supported this
function, and later versions of Netscape/Mozilla have forgotten how
to do it..

Note: You need to be in a ftp directory URL ending in / for this
feature to work in Netscape 4.x.
