squid_auth_ldap is may easier to configure, but may require some updates
to work proper with Squid-2.5 and later if your users have passwords
with odd characters..

Note: For Squid accessing an existing LDAP server you do not need either
of these OpenLDAP configuration files.

If setting up an OpenLDAP server then slapd.conf is needed.

There is a manpage describing it's use and a couple of examples for
various different LDAP layouts..
