the external acls probably won't work in reply_body_max_size unless you
have evaluated the same acls in http_access (and even then not entirely
reliably), but it should not crash.

Please get a stack trace from you crash and file a bug report, assuming
you are running the current STABLE release..

This is most likely related to the other reported crashes when using acls
based on ntlm authentication outside http_access.
