Is it possible to use Squid as a dialup accelerator? I think the main way
they work is at the ISP headend they take all images and convert them to
highly compressed *.png and compress html and other stuff with gzip. There
is a sacrifice in image quality but that is acceptable in many cases. I
think IE 4+ accepts gzip encoded html files.
