[squid-users] Squid not caching

Dear All,

In a previous message I mentioned that I am setting up Squid as an accelerator for Zope.
But I omitted to give the details needed by anyone who would have liked to help me, so here is a more complete description of my problem.

Squid is running and serving pages, however pages are not being cached. By now, there have been over 100,000 pages served, but only 8 objects (images mainly) are in the cache. Squid's access.log shows all pages as TCP_MISS:DIRECT, and store.log shows all pages with the code RELEASE.

My pages contain no visible headers which might affect caching, but I know that Zope can insert such headers.

I am running Squid version 2.5, fronted by Webmin; os is FreeBSD v. 4.3.

Following are all uncommented lines from squid.conf (sorry if it's too much):

http_port 123.45.678.9:80 #not real of course
minimum_object_size 4 KB #prevent caching of error message (2389 bytes)

I hope the above will provide some clue about what I am doing wrong!
TIA,
Ken
