Hi,
Running a couple of squid boxes (2.5.STABLE1). It seems for the past
weeks I have been getting "dnsSubmit: queue overload" on the machines.
Internal dns is disabled, dns_children set to 32.
On the cache manager, I could see that most if not all of the dnsserver
processes are on AB mode (Alive and busy) during the queue overload. DNS
server is not overloaded. No network related issues between the squid
boxens and the dns server. Resolving is quick.
Any options to fix this? I suspect I need to add more squid boxes.
