  Personally, I think it wouldn't be feasible at all.
  The kernel has a job to keep; in terms of systems' management
  (network,memory, disk I/O).
 
  Chance is that to get the most performance out of SQUID,
  is to keep it at the app. layer where it is now.

  Other solutions will stress a kernel in task-streams where it
  was not designed for
