In question 1 you state you don't want to proxy and in question 2 you ask
how to pass requests to your apache proxy box. The definition of a proxy is
something that performs a function on behalf of someone else. "pass requests
at the squid box....to proxy box" *is* proxying.

Another way to look at it is if squid were to cache anything, then those
cached bits of information would get there due to the proxying capabilities
of the server. Ie: no proxy, no cache.

 can i get the solutions for the following questions.pls.help me out...
 
 Browser(Clients ) ---- Squid box ---- proxy box(apache) --- Real servers(
Internet)
 
  1) i am running apache as proxy server. i want to use squid only for
caching not for proxying. is it possible? how to do this?
 
  2) In the above figure how can i pass clients requests received at the
squid box port no:8090 can be passed to proxy box ( other system) with port
no: 8081 .. is there any redirct available such that web requests can be
passed to proxy system and which in turn passed to real server.
