This is a Samba question. See the Samba release notes etc for their
current level of MS AD support.
From my understanding it is all there in the current Samba-3 releases, but
no matter what level of AD support there is NTLM requires that NT 4
support is still enabled in the directory. If NT 4 support is completely
disabled in the directory only Kerberos works.
Support for the Negotiate authentication protocol (which includes
Kerberos) is planned for Squid-3.1, or maybe Squid-3.0. It is
substantially different from the NTLM protocol.
