The accelerator functions have been completely redone in the Squid-3
development releases, and configuration is quite different (and simpler)
in Squid-3 compared to Squid-2.5.

It is not too unlikely that the transparent proxy support in Squid-3 is
broken. It is not a function which has been actively tested yet.
