[squid-users] NTLM authentication problem

Hi,

We have squid (2.5.STABLE 5) installed with NTLM authentification. Our
client are all IE 6 on Windows 2000 and XP. Our AD server is on Windows 2003
server.

It worked great but since about 2 weeks, a few users just don't authenticate
anymore.

I thought at first it was the setting in IE that has changed, but setting
"User Authentication / Logon" to "Automatic logon only in Intranet zone" or
"Automatic logon with current username and password" (or even "Prompt for
user name and password") does not change anything. I even tried to change
the "HTTP 1.1 settings" to use and not to "use HTTP 1.1 through proxy
connections" but always those few user don't authenticate.

When I say they don't authenticate, it is that I don't see any NTLM
challenge comming from those PC.

Now, I wander if there is some hiden settings in the registries or that
could come from the AD server?

Does someone can point me to some good information that could help me sort
out that problem? Or does someone got similar problem and know a way to fix
it?

Thanks a lot,

Hugues Ferland
