[squid-users] Limiting IE to Windows Update

Hello. I'd like, in a network, to use Squid in order to, eventually,
limit Internet Explorer to Windows Update (and possible a couple of
other sites), but give unrestricted access to users of Firefox, Opera,
Konqueror, etc..

Is it possible? If so, what is the best way?

I've thought of several possibilities:

1- have something in squid.conf to do this, such as an access list (how?)

2- since one can assume that IE users aren't usually very technical,
maybe configure a different proxy in IE, which can only go to Windows
Update?

3- another possibility would be to use an autoconfiguration proxy.pac,
which would somehow detect the browser, giving a different proxy to IE
users. Is it possible?

Thanks in advance,
Pedro
