hi i have a problem with squid. the problem is squid shutting down. i
check the chace.log and found :

preparing to shutdown after 79 request
waiting 30 seconds for active connections to finish
FD 10 closing ICP connection
Shutting Down...
FD 11 closing ICP connection
Closing unlinkd pipe on FD 9
StoreDirWriteCleanLogs : Starting...
Finished. Wrote 697 entries.
Took 0.0 seconds (102954.2 entries/sec).
CPU Usage : 2.380 seconds = 1.210 user + 1.170 sys
Maximum resident size : 0 kb
Page faults with physical i/o: 443
Memory usage for squid via mallinfo ():
total space in arena : 2246 KB
ordinary blocks : 2178 KB 12 blks
small blocks : 0 kb 5 blks
holding blocks : 200 kb 1 blks
free small blocks : 0 kb
free ordinary blocks : 68 kb
total in use : 2378 kb 106%
total free : 68 kb 3%
squid cache (version 2.5.STABLE7-1): exiting normally

below is my df -h status :
filesystem size used avail use% mounted on
/dev/hda3 664M 625M 6M 100% /
tmpfs 125M 23M 103M 10% /etc
tmpfs 125M 204K 125M 1% /redwall.workdir
/dev/hda3 6.7G 184M 6.2G 3% /var

i ask my friend and he said the problem is '/' is already 100% and he
told me to repartition the HD. im using www.redwall-firewall.com and
when installing to hardisk there is no custom size for '/' the
instalation decide by it self the size of '/'. my question is, is it
true like my friend said the 100% of '/' cause this problem, or there
is something else cause this problem ? please i need advice how to
solve this problem, since i was newbie i hope the solution can be step
by step rather than only a keywords

regards
