if you make use of the ident feature on squid, and run an ident client\service on the ms machines (windows does not have its own) it will send the logged on users username to squid for it to log.

________________________________

From: Bo Jacobsen [mailto:subs@systemhouse.dk]
Sent: Mon 7/11/2005 2:48 AM
To: squid-users@squid-cache.org
Subject: [squid-users] Can the MS Windows user-name be logged in access.log

I wonder if it's possible for squid to log the MS Windows username of users
using Explorer or Mozilla.

/Bo

This message is confidential.
