If you are using a "Next Generation" style rc script (the default in FreeBSD
5.X), your /etc/rc.conf file must have an entry squid_enable="YES"

Hello all. I am attempting to get Squid Cache to start automatically under
FreeBSD (5.1) when the system is booted. I've checked the FAQs and mail
archives, but don't see an example that applies to/works with FreeBSD. Can
someone assist me in this venture? I'm using Squid 2.5-STABLE7.
