[squid-users] REISERFS = best performance?

Hello to everyone! :)

Searching on the net, i have found some articles about
improvement of Squid's performance, and noticed that
one solution suggested and recomended by some people
is change the cache dir filesystem from EXT3 to
REISERFS.

Since this type of filesystem deals better with
smaller files (in this case, the cache files, which
are often small sized), this probably could make Squid
gets a better performance. But i also have noticed
that the O'Reilly Squid Definitive Guide (from Duane
Wessels) benchmarks show that reiserfs is almost the
least prefered for performance, even getting the best
hit ratio.

Now, i'm a little confused about this. Is there anyone
here at the list that have passed for this change
situation too?

Any experience you may have got about this or any hint
that can help me to improve Squid's performance will
be gladly accepted.

Thanks in advance for your help!

André
