Hi all,

using squid, I am unable to access www.evangel.org.sg
but using NetCaches, there is no problem.

Squid log entry:
1126063099.644 63 165.21.88.31 TCP_MISS/403 606
GET http://www.evangel.org.sg/ - DIRECT/203.127.19.66
text/html

But I found out that when I enter http://203.127.19.66
or just evangel.org.sg in my browser, I will be
sucessful. Further investigation reveals that the
reverse lookup entry for 203.127.19.66 does not exist.

Server: dnscache2.singnet.com.sg
Address: 165.21.100.88

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: evangel.org.sg
Address: 203.127.19.66
Aliases: www.evangel.org.sg

> 203.127.19.66
Server: dnscache2.singnet.com.sg
Address: 165.21.100.88

*** dnscache2.singnet.com.sg can't find 203.127.19.66:
Server failed

My question: Could it be that squid by default checks
for the reverse entry of a website? If so, can I
disable it? Any problem if I disable it?

Or is it something else altogether?

Thanks all.

Regards,
Tay
