Best advice choose whatever distro you like....and know how to use the best.

Nothing agains FreeBSD nothing agains Linux...

I presonaly use CentOS 3.0 for my Squid install with SeLinux disabled...
cause I really-really
don't need it , got a firewall n'all before the squid server, and I'm only
serving local clients.
